Guideline to use PDFs with Keymate.AI

We know that interacting with PDFs can be challenging. We've put together these tips to help our users better understand and interact with PDFs.

Do

These types of queries will help you benefit from your Keymate Memory.

1. Prompt to fetch a specific topic you have on your Keymate Memory

Find on personal knowledge base and answer about [Topic you have in Keymate Memory]

2. Use slash commands to fetch a specific topic

Prompt Sample:

/pdfsearch [Topic you have in Keymate Memory]

Prompt Sample:

/query [Topic you have in Keymate Memory]

3. Use slash commands with contextual questions

Prompt Sample:

Prompt Sample:

/pkb [contextually related question]

Don't

Please remember that while you are talking to your Keymate Memory, you are not interacting directly with PDFs, you are interacting with the Knowledge Base / Information Store that has the unstructured data you have used to train it.

Don't use these type of queries:

1. Don't ask for a specific page

LLMs don't store PDF page numbers. A query like this won't work:

Summarize page 3 of [PDF File]

2. Don't ask for a specific section or title

LLMs don't have the PDF title structures. A query like this won't work:

Summarize the section titled "My Title in PDF" in [PDF File]

3. Don't think of it as a file list

A query like this won't work:

Load all my pdf files I uploaded
