How to use the new Keymate Memory Manager
Keymate was the first plugin on ChatGPT to provide web search, browsing, and personalized AI memory.
Thanks to your feedback and suggestions, now we continue to set new standards of using AI with Keymate Memory Manager (app.keymate.ai) offering a brand new set of features:
1. Folders
2. New sources: URLs, YouTube videos and Google Docs
3. Chatting with multiple files
4. Updated UI and functionality
These updates are a part of our ongoing work to provide a better, more intuitive experience that seamlessly integrates different AI technologies into your user journey.
Let’s take a closer look:
New Source Formats
Click on “New -> New Source”, and you will see that Keymate Memory is not limited to chats and PDFs anymore: you can now add URLs, YouTube links, and Google Docs!
All you need to do is to copy the URL and paste it into the field. After a few minutes of processing, the content Keymate fetches from the URL becomes a part of your personal Keymate Memory: ready for you to work with, search through, and chat.
Improved Source Handling and Folders
Keymate now offers an enhanced, more visual interface for uploading and organizing sources in your Keymate Memory.
You can add sources now with ease through drag-and-drop functionality as well as by manually selecting files. You can also group your sources into folders (You will see below why this is extra helpful)
Although there is a limit to the number of files that can be uploaded simultaneously, this feature is optimized to support efficient document management.
A New Way of Interacting with Sources
A key upgrade is the ease with which you can directly engage with your sources. By clicking “Search” on a specific source, you can ask questions directly based on that source, isolated entirely from the rest of your memory. If you need to dive further, you can jump to our Keymate GPT to have an interactive chat with the document.
This feature will allow you to make the most of ChatGPT whenever you need help from a specific source, within a specific context.
A Search Engine of Your Own
Our enhanced search functionality will transform how you navigate through your personal memory. Leveraging semantic search and vectorized repository, this new search experience allows you to perform queries across your entire Keymate memory — including files, chats, and links — to pinpoint contextually relevant information.
You can limit your semantic search to any folder you want.
The folder filtering feature further refines this process, enabling you to create specific folders and limit search results to those folders only. This targeted approach to search ensures efficient management and retrieval of data.
Once you’ve isolated a set of information that you want to do deeper analysis on, with one click you can switch to our GPT in seconds and it will pull the isolated information from your memory for you to chat with. This can be information you’ve isolated in a folder or through a specific query you have requested in your memory.
